Getting here by car

We are just outside Broxburn in West Lothian.

To get here, leave the A89 at the crossroads with Station Road, signposted Roman Camp/Almondell and Calderwood Country Park. Follow the road over the canal, under the M8 motorway & railway, then take a sharp right, signposted Roman Camps.

Follow the road alongside the railway line, past some houses, a factory and a yard. When you see the playpark, keep left and continue along past some more houses.

The Croft will be on your left, behind a timber fence. There is a small wooden pedestrian gate and two large wooden gates for car entry. There is a private car park with space for up to 10 cars.

Getting here by train

We are a 1 km walk from Uphall Station. The route uses part of the Shale Trail and meanders along a mostly made-up track.
